A Chance Encounter with Evel Knievel

Believe it or not, I once met Evel Knievel in a bar where we were both enjoying a cold beer. As we talked, I remembered that he enjoyed playing golf. Seeing an opportunity for a memorable game, I suggested a friendly match, thinking I might just have the chance to outplay a legend.

To my surprise, Knievel agreed, but there was a catch: he'd play if we bet on the game. He states we could start the bet at just 10¢. It sounds trivial, right? But then he lays out the rest of his idea: double the bet on every hole.
